Our aims are to share and disscus about health throughout the world especially in oncology field.
we are based in Putrajaya, Malaysia
Opppsss...forgot to introduce who we are....

A      -      Assistant
M     -       Medical
O      -      Officer

yess...thats what AMO is stand for....
currently this job only available in Malaysia country (also known as medical assistant)...However our job has almost 80% similarity as physician assistant in several country....a bit exposure about our AMO job description as a collective in Malaysia:
  • First responder and Team leader in Pre-Hospital care
  • Diagnosing and treating patient in primary health care especially in rural area
  • Working in emergency and trauma care as a front liner
Different with nurses, AMO is not specialise in nursing care. At certain field, AMO will closely work with Specialist, for example in cardiology team, AMO will act as a Perfusionist. AMO also perform routine tasks and procedures such as measuring patients' vital signs, administering medications and injections, recording information in medical records-keeping systems, preparing and handling medical instruments and supplies, and collecting and preparing specimens of bodily fluids and tissues for laboratory testing.
In oncology area, AMO is still green... we are still trying to involve to be an important component in oncology, and yet we are still looking for a "position" in this field.Hope with this blog ,together we can explore, share and learn more about oncology.  Ideas and suggestions from other professions such as Doctors , physicists , Radiographer, Physician assistant, paramedic, nurses etc are welcome.....tq..
